The 8th Tournament of our 2011 season was held this past Sat. at SML.
This was the toughest tournament so far with only one boat putting a 5-fish
limit on the scales. At the end of the day, Jerry Rice fishing solo , claimed the
the first place check with a 10 lb. 15 oz. bag. Finishing second was the team
of Ben & Brandon Reynolds . Their catch included a 3 lb. 8oz. smallmouth.
Tim Davis & Rodney Irving had the only 5-fish limit , good enough for only
a third place check.

The 4th Tournament or our 2011 season was held this past Sat.
at SML with 17 boats blasting off under damp foggy skies.
Banging docks in the Penhook area with shaky things and
jigs , proved to be the winning way for the team of Frank Dalton
and Kevin Shelton . Fishing solo , Jerry Rice edged out local
favorites , Cleve Easome & Brian Callaway by a few ounces
for 2nd place.

The 3^rd Tournament of our 2011 season was held this past Sat. at Leesville Lake .  A total
of  9 boats showed up on a cool damp morning ready to battle the ol’ mudhole .  Lake
conditions  at Leesville were pretty good . The lake level was fairly high with very little
trash . Water temps were between  56 to 62 degrees , slightly stained mid-lake to the dam.
In one the closest tournament finishes in recent memory , the team of Nathan Doss &
Craig Shelton edged out the team of Todd Moore & Jeff Ferguson by 1.5 oz.  Finishing
3rd , was the team of Kenny Sterne & Roger Wood.  Spinnerbaits , jerkbaits , and jigs
were the baits of choice.
